PortionSense provides general nutrition information and AI-generated estimates for educational purposes only. It is not medical advice, and is not a substitute for guidance from a qualified physician, dietitian, or other healthcare professional. Always consult a professional before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have a history of disordered eating.

AI estimates may be inaccurate

Nutrition values generated from photos, text descriptions, or label scans are AI-generated estimates, not verified measurements. They can be wrong — you're responsible for reviewing and, if needed, correcting any value before saving it, and for using your own judgment about what you eat.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use PortionSense. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account, which permanently removes your data.

Subscriptions

PortionSense offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. Where in-app purchases are available, subscriptions are billed and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and are subject to their respective terms, refund policies, and renewal/cancellation processes — we don't process payments or issue refunds directly. Plan features and usage limits are described in the app and may change from time to time; if they do, we'll make a reasonable effort to communicate that in-app.

Acceptable use

Don't use PortionSense to submit content that's unlawful, abusive, or that infringes someone else's rights, and don't attempt to circumvent usage limits, reverse-engineer the app, or interfere with its normal operation.

Disclaimer of warranties

PortionSense is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PortionSense and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including reliance on AI-generated nutrition estimates or coaching suggestions.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
